Biman Bangladesh Flight 371 from Dhaka to Kathmandu with 77 passengers on board was diverted to Bihar Patna district due to technical problems. It landed at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, Patna at 12:00 PM IST.
According to airport staff, the flight was in an emergency after it encountered a technical snag. The Airports Authority of India has not yet officially commented on the matter.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said all passengers of the Biman Bangladesh flight were safe. The exact technical fault the aircraft was facing was not immediately known, although the pilots decided to divert the flight after noticing the problem.
Meanwhile, airport officials said they are investigating the incident on the Kathmandu-bound flight.
